We are hiring a senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor for our Derry Office.

Caldwell & Robinson is an Ireland-wide legal practice that has been providing advice on personal and commercial matters for over one hundred years. We are experts in family and child law, SME entrepreneurial business, commercial property law, dispute resolution, regulatory law and private client matters, including residential property, and wills and estates.


We practice across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and many of us are also qualified in England and Wales. Our membership of the international law firm association, Avrio Advocati, and of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, allows us to provide our clients with instant access to specialist legal services in multiple jurisdictions. As a result, we act in many complex international corporate, litigation and family matters where there is an Irish dimension.


We are seeking an experienced commercial litigator (7 years PQE+ in either NI, ROI or England) to work in our growing Dispute Resolution practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-value, complex disputes for a broad range of clients across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and further afield.

About the Role

  • Advising and representing business owners in commercial disputes including commercial contract, M&A and shareholder disputes, professional negligence actions, and frequent cross-border litigation;

  • Managing a varied caseload from instruction through to resolution.

  • Working closely with colleagues across the firm, and mentoring junior members of the team;

  • Contributing to business development initiatives as part of our expanding Dispute Resolution offering.

About You

  • Qualified solicitor with at least 7 years’ PQE in commercial litigation in either Northern Ireland, Ireland or England & Wales;

  • Strong legal expertise in contract law, excellent advocacy skills and strong tactical nouse.

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to deliver practical, client-focused solutions.

  • Proven track record of managing complex cases and building client relationships.

  • A collaborative team player with leadership potential.
